Expressions of interest - 1st grade coach 2024
Reporting to the Rugby Manager, Club President and ultimately the Queanbeyan Rugby Union Football Club Committee, we are seeking applications for the role of Head Coach of our Men's Premier 1st Grade Team.
We are looking for someone who has proven experience in delivering exceptional coaching at Premier Grade level, and who can create and sustain a successful rugby squad to compete in the John I Dent Cup in 2024.
The primary role responsibilities include;
- Coaching the 1st grade side with the assistance of any other coaching staff
- In conjunction with the rugby manager, overseeing the playing style of all grades in the club
- Ensuring all coaches and support staff are properly briefed
- Working closely with all club volunteers including other coaching staff, club administration, strength and conditioning coach, team managers and medical and support staff
- Assist the Rugby Manager to overview of the club's rugby program, including team selections; training plans; player recruitment, retention and development.
- Liaise with coaching and support staff on all training needs including regular reviews; coordination of specialist coaching where required and ensuring the provision of adequate training resources
- Player management including identifying and assisting the recruitment of targeted players; reviewing and monitoring individual performances and achievements; providing regular feedback to players on their performance and further development and promoting players for representative honours
- Weekly team and individual performance review process - video, statistics, presentations
- Weekly preview process - opposition, referees
- Weekly planning - training sessions, selections, communication

Qualifications and Experience;
- Minimum World Rugby Level 2
- Minimum three years coaching experience 2nd Grade Head Coach Level, at First Grade Assistant level or higher

This is not a full-time role and remuneration will be on a contract basis.
