EOI - Operations/General Manager

The Queanbeyan Rugby Union Football Club (Queanbeyan Whites) is seeking expressions of interest for an Operations/General Manager to be responsible for the day-to-day management and operational decisions of the Football Club and help achieve the objectives set out in our recently developed strategic plan. The club is considering applicants to work on a full-time or part-time basis.

The Queanbeyan Whites are a club that takes part in the Canberra premier, women’s first division and junior competitions and caters for the social player, right through to the aspirational and elite level player.

This role would report to the committee of the club and be responsible for the head coach, director of rugby (men’s and women, club coaches and managers, volunteers and sub committee members.

The successful applicant would work with our peak sporting body (Brumbies Rugby), government agencies and connect with our sponsors, members, supporters, local schools and the wider community.

Budget development and delivery is key to this position, along with the ability to plan and execute a calendar of events. Ordering and managing club kit and merchandise, developing an improved membership program, seeking government grants and further developing our social media and website are all included in this role.
