WHITES PLAYER NEWS
In a massive boost for the Clubs young playing roster, Brumbies General Manager of Pathways and Development, Chris Tindall, joined the Whites senior squad after last Saturday’s match to make some announcements that will have a significant impact for the Whites going forward. Young prop Fred Kaihea has been rewarded for his efforts of late with a full contract for season 2022. This comes off the back of his Brumbies debut earlier this season and the massive effort he has put into his rehabilitation when injuring his knee 3 games into his Brumbies career. He will be joined in the Brumbies main squad with young winger Junior Tupou and lock Zane Marolt.
Tindall also took the opportunity to acknowledge and recognise the contribution of young Brumby Reece Tapine to the Whites over the season. Tapine has been signed by the Western Force for season 2022 but was adamant that he wanted to see his season out with the Whites and he has been crucial to the Whites improvement over the course of the season. It was also noted that 2 of the Whites young guns have taken up the opportunity to further their careers with both Brenden Jimenez and Zeph Tuinona accepting offers from the Hino Red Dolphins to play for the next 3 seasons in Japan. Tindall also noted that the Brumbies door will always be open if the opportunity arose down the track for any of the boys to return.
